Distinguish queries from building
Business agents need task context, identity and sources. Coding agents also need drafting, confirmation, publication, error handling and recovery. Select tools and permissions for each client without granting identical write access.
Network and credentials
A service reachable locally may not be reachable from a cloud client. Check data destinations, authentication, token scopes and revocation. Never paste secrets into the website.
Configure the connection
Obtain the connection address and tool catalog from your DataFocus instance, then configure authentication and networking using your client’s documentation. Start with a narrowly scoped query and add write access as the task requires.
