Builders · Delivery and partners
Deliver one company well, and the next doesn’t start from zero.
Define the business task with your customer, then install, configure, validate and hand it over. Keep reusable definitions, mappings and experience so the next project is easier to start.
Four proofs
Whether the ecosystem works depends on these four things happening.
- Install independentlyThe builder installs and configures without the vendor doing it for them.
- Customer acceptanceThe customer’s business owner accepts a task on its facts and access.
- A second projectThe builder chooses DataFocus again for the next project.
- Someone else takes overAnother builder takes over the package from its documentation.
Vendor support hours are recorded separately. A delivery the vendor did for you doesn’t count as independent.
Principles
Rules first, then partnership.
Build partnerships around customer relationships, delivery quality and ownership of the work. Redistribution, hosting and paid-delivery rights and responsibilities follow your agreement and the edition’s license.
- Your work stays yoursNo requirement to upload custom source. Partners keep their lawful work; the rights holder decides whether to publish it.
- Customer relationships are respectedNo default poaching, no default cut of each project. Referrals need customer consent.
- Quality you can checkEach package states its maintainer, versions, inputs, permissions, verification date, tests and limits.
- No paid badges firstNo certificates or membership fees up front. A signature proves origin, not complete safety.
Preparation
Start with one well-bounded task.
Sources you may lawfully connect, definitions someone confirms, results someone accepts. Write the project down with this brief; it stays on your own device.
